representations and enigmas

In the In the opening sequence for our film there are gonna be certain representations and enigmas to encourage the audience to carry on watching the film.

Representation

  • Hoodies
  • Trainers
  • Tower blocks
  • Youths
  • Graffiti
Enigmas
  • Who are they on the phone to
  • Why they received the call
  • who is the person watching them on the computer at the end
  • why do they go to London when they jump on the bus
we chose use these representations as they cover our genre which is Urban British Crime and we researched some from other films and found out that this were some of the codes and conventions of our genre.

We were influenced by the opening of Harry Brown's various cinematography techniques through there point of view shots so we will use this in parts of our filming to make it more dramatic.

Psychographics: Aspirers
I feel that our target audience would be Aspirers, as aspirers are usually younger people who are quite materialistic, focus on their self-image and mainly base success on income. In their spare time they would probably be using social media or texting their friends. They probably feel that because of where they are brought up, it isn’t going to be easy to achieve their life goals. Their relationship with their parents is presumably a positive one, but they could feel as if their parents are at times annoying as they stop them from doing certain things within their interests, for example: Staying out late or spending all of their time playing games etc. They could be the type to be influenced by popular/cool people around them, but know when they could be moving towards making bad choices, diverting themselves from that eventually. Some could possibly be succumb by peer-pressure, or feel that their friends are even more family than their own family.

Our Distributors

We have decided to use Lionsgate uk as they have created similar Urban British crime films like Harry Brown. Our production company is called the coffee production.

My Group's Recce

Me and my group went around and started looking at this particular area as it represents the British urban crime setting as our film is based on British urban crime. It also as has some of the codes and conventions we have researched which match with these pictures.

Feed back

Here is our feedback for our pitch for our movie. We took all the negative feedback and worked onit to make it better.

research on the characters

Adam Deacon
Adam Steven Deacon (born 4 March 1983) is an English film actor, rapper, writer and director. He is best known for his lead role in the films Kidulthood, sequel Adulthood and for his directorial debut, Anuvahood. Convicted in 2015 of harassment without violence against fellow actor Noel Clarke.

Films he has done:
Adam deacon.jpgKidulthood (2006)
Adulthood (2008)
Shank(2010)
Anuvahood(2011)

The reason why he would be a great actor for our film is because the films above which he has starred in all relate to our idea of a film. So Adam Deacon is the ideal actor for one of our main characters.
Also Adam Deacon stars in Anuvahood and Shanks these two films both focus on crime which will link well with our film. we will use him as our main protagonist throughout the film.

Charlie Creed Miles
We decided this as he also stars in Wild Bill and a semi important character in Harry Brown which both focus on British crime. His role in our movie will be the hacker. he will be the main antagonist.

Films he has done:
Wild Bill (2011)
Harry Brown (2009)
Image result for creed miles
These two film which he stars in are film we are currently working on so this was another reason why he was a choice as well as him being a important role in both films.
